spasm of someone who bursts into a roar of laughter and thus dissipates his prolonged tension in a brief and violent discharge: the friendly mockery is mutual, and once the pedagogic demonstration is over and the offering deposited, the joyful donors will proceed to reach to one side and eliminate the traces of their impulsive euphoria with the simple gesture of someone passing his hand across his face in order to wipe away the traces of a smile: then submerging the hand in the corresponding washbowl beneath the approving gaze of the audience, which during the requisite pause for the washing of
