Palestinian legislation, in its approach to the right to form associations, conforms to the provisions and principles of international human rights law, in particular, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, both of which explicitly recognize the right to form associations as one of the fundamental rights and freedoms which States are bound to guarantee and make available to individuals.
