On 20 February 2012, in accordance with the relevant Security Council resolutions, the State of Kuwait received from the Republic of Iraq two boxes containing 136 microfilms of the archive of the newspaper Al-Kuwait al-Yawm. The items belong to the Ministry of Information of Kuwait, but were seized by the previous Iraqi regime during its occupation of the State of Kuwait in 1990.
