With a view to improving legislation governing the activities of the mass media in relation to protection of the child against information that harms his health or moral and spiritual development, amendments to article 41 of the federal law on mass media were adopted in 2000 prohibiting publishers from disclosing, in the material disseminated by them, any information directly or indirectly referring to the character of a juvenile having committed or being suspected of an offence or having committed an administrative infringement or anti-social act, without the consent of the juvenile himself or his legal representative.
