For the purposes of this Act, `pesticides' (insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, germicides, acaricides, avicides, bactericides, ovicides, rodenticides, repellents, attractants and any other product having a similar action) means any product or mixture of products intended to combat pests. The Ministries of Agriculture and of Public Health and Welfare are empowered to regulate the use and classification of such products".
Para los efectos de la presente Ley se conceptúan como pesticidas (insecticidas, herbicidas, fungicidas, germicidas, acaricidas, ornocidas, bactericidas, ovicidas, rodenticidas, repelentes, atrayentes y cualquier otro producto de acción similar), a todo producto o mezcla de productos destinados a combatir plagas facultando a los Ministerios de Agricultura y de Salud Pública y Asistencia Social para que regulen el uso y clasificación de los mismos.
