With respect to the United Nations, I would like to recall my country's signing of an agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at the end of 1995 to establish an $11 million trust fund to finance programmes that contribute to strengthening governance in Central America, and therefore in Nicaragua. I also wish to recall the intensive cooperation Spain has been developing, together with other Members of the United Nations and with the representatives of UNDP in Nicaragua, within the framework of the Support Group for this country.
