Under the supervision of the Chief of the Integrated Support Services, the incumbent would be responsible for the planning and implementation of all engineering construction projects, including buildings, roads, bridges, camp facilities, water/electricity supply and so on, as well as all alteration and renovation projects; liaising with military and civilian components of the Mission, in particular the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and external agencies to coordinate all requirements for engineering support; reviewing budgetary proposals for the Section and submitting them for approval; coordinating with the Chief, Procurement Section, of all related procurement; supervising the execution of engineering contracts; ensuring the timely requisitioning, receipt and utilization of supplies and services required for engineering projects; and managing and supervising the staff of the Section.
