251 The Heads of State and Government welcomed the successful organization of the first Summit on Trilateral Cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, held in Tehran, the Islamic Republic of Iran, on 24th of May 2009, and expressed their support for such regional initiatives that are aimed at exploring regional potentials for the welfare, stability and development of Afghanistan and the rest of the region.
