59. Uzbekistan asked Finland about measures that were envisaged to prohibit forced labour in the country, given that requiring destitute persons to work fell under the definition of forced labour under ILO Convention No. 29.

Endorses resolution 1995/28 of 24 August 1995 of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, in which the Sub-Commission took note with appreciation of the second interim report of the Special Rapporteur on human rights and extreme poverty (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1995/15) and commended him for having included in his report testimony and observations by the most destitute persons, since that brought greater awareness of the living conditions of those in extreme poverty and a better understanding of the link between extreme poverty and human rights;
7. одобряет резолюцию 1995/28 Подкомиссии по предупреждению дискриминации и защите меньшинств от 24 августа 1995 года, в которой Подкомиссия с удовлетворением приняла к сведению второй промежуточный доклад Специального докладчика по вопросу о правах человека и крайней нищете (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1995/15) и приветствовала включение Специальным докладчиком в его доклад свидетельских показаний и мнений наиболее обездоленных лиц, поскольку это позволило в большей степени осознать условия жизни в крайней нищете и лучше понять связь между явлением крайней нищеты и правами человека;
