In accordance with terms of the Criminal Procedure Law, the execution in Latvia of a sentence imposed in a foreign State is the uncontested recognition of the justification and lawfulness of such sentence and the execution thereof in accordance with the same procedures, as if the sentence were specified in criminal proceedings taking place in Latvia.

2. When the enquiry to carry out procedural steps is made by courts, prosecutors, investigators, inquest bodies of the Republic of Armenia, they, in accordance with international treaties of the Republic of Armenia, shall submit the enquiries drawn up to the corresponding competent authority specified in part 1 of this Article for forwarding them to the competent authority of foreign state for the purpose of execution thereof.

Lorsque la demande d'exécution d'actes de procédure est formulée par un tribunal, un procureur, un enquêteur ou un organe d'enquête de la République d'Arménie, celui-ci l'adresse, conformément aux instruments internationaux auxquels la République d'Arménie est partie, aux autorités compétentes visées au paragraphe 1 du présent article pour qu'elles la transmettent aux autorités compétentes de l'État étranger concerné pour exécution.
